Hello friends!

In 2020, the world changed. For artists, COVID-19 and the ensuing pandemic stopped us in our tracks, and we will live in its shadow for a very long time. For the most part, theaters across the world closed their doors, shifting to virtual and safe outdoor experiences. Personally, I have taken this opportunity to think about what's next.

For over 18 years, I have worked in theaters all over Central Florida; as a director, writer, producer, teacher, and most notably as the founding Director of Theatre at Central Florida Community Arts.

Like so many others, I took this time to reflect on the things that are really important to me. As an artist, nothing excites me more than creating new work, supporting emerging artists, and seeing fresh and diverse perspectives onstage. For years I've known that my ultimate goal is to create new works and to support others to do the same. And that is what Renaissance Theatre Company is all about.

After every great challenge comes an opportunity. The sun always rises after the darkest nights. And yes, after the plague, there was a Renaissance.
